I. THE LORD IS NOT SLACK CONCERNING HIS PROMISE.
A. Promise of eternal life.
B. Promise of His coming.
C. Promise of judgment. "Hath He not spoken and shall He not do?"
II. LONGSUFFERING TO US WARD.
A. God's judgments would have failed long ago.
B. God's grace has kept door open.
1. Not that God isn't angry.
2. Not that God has softened.
3. Not that God has changed.
III. GOD NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH.
A. "God so loved the world."
B. God has done all that is divinely possible to save you.
1. Sent Son.
2. Given His Word.
3. Spoken in various ways to heart.
C. "O turn ye for why will ye die."
D. God does not send men to hell.
1. Men go there in spite of God.
IV. GOD'S DESIRE THAT ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE.
A. Conviction is not repentance.
1. One thing to be awakened by alarm at 5:00.
