I. VS. HAS BROUGHT HOPE TO MANY.
A. immediately gone out to seek prosperity.
1. This is not what scripture promises or even implies.
B. This much is true.
1. We are God's children.
a. God wants us to have the best.
b. God wants us to prosper.
C. Why then are we not all wealthy?
1. As God's children, he will not give us anything that is not good for us.
a. I will not give my buy a loaded revolver to play with.
2. Right now prosperity would be the worse things in the world for some.
a. Have seen some completely ruined by success.
1. Forgot God completely.
b. Not grounded deeply enough in God's word.
II. KEY TO PROSPERITY IN THIS VERSE.
A. Even as thy should doth prosper.
1. God cannot safely prosper you until your life is sold out for Him.
B. We need to put first things first.
1. 2Ch 26:5.
C. Mat 6:33.
