Intro: God loves you and He desires to bless your life. His blessings must be consistent with His nature i.e. He cannot bless evil.
I. GOD SETS BEFORE YOU A BLESSING AND A CURSE.
A. This is true in a national, corporate, or individual sense.
1. God was speaking here to a nation.
a. Nations can be blessed by God (righteousness exhalteth etc...)
b. Nations can be cursed by God.
2. It is also true of individuals you may be blessed or...
B. God shows to you the two paths and tells you where they lead.
1. One is the path of blessing that leads to Him.
2. Other is a cursed path that leads to hell.
a. How can a God of love send men to hell? He doesn't.
b. Men choose the path the ignore His warnings.
1. You say: "I don't believe in God" you will. "I don't believe in Jesus" you will. "I don't believe in hell" you will.
3. Don't all paths lead to God?
a. The San Diego Frwy will take you to San Diego. Very profound.
b. It will also take you to the San Fernando Valley.
II. THE PATH OF BLESSING.
A. The blessings God has promised.
1. The fruit and abundance of the land.
2. A perpetuation in the land.
3. To supply your needs.
4. To fill you with joy, peace, love.
5. vs. 23, 24, 25.
B. The conditions of blessing.
1. To love Jehovah your God (vs. 13...)
2. So serve Him with all your heart and soul (13...)
3. To walk in all His ways (22...)
4. To cleave unto Him (22...)
III. THE PATH OF THE CURSE.
A. The curse. God's wrath (vs. 17...)
1. The land shall become parched and the fruit shall fail (17...)
a. Is your life becoming dry & fruitless?
2. You will be driven from God's good land.
B. The conditions of the curse.
1. Disobedience to God's commands.
2. Turning aside from His way.
3. Going after other gods.
a. Every man serves a god.
1. That man who says "I'm an atheist."
2. His god of unbelief who masters his life & he seeks to convert others.
b. If you turn your back on the true & living God you are turning your face to serve other gods.
1. gods of pleasure.
2. gods of the intellect.
3. gods of power which neither see, hear, feel or talk.
C. The end of that path is destruction.
IV. GOD SETS BEFORE YOU A BLESSING & A CURSE.
A. Your life may be blessed or cursed. Which will it be?
B. The choice is yours.
