I. WHY WAS ABEL'S OFFERING ACCEPTED AND CAIN'S REJECTED?
A. Cain offered of abundance.
1. Abel gave first fruits best.
a. Many today give leftovers to God.
1. No faith to that.
B. Cain offered his works.
1. Abel offered a substitute sacrifice.
a. Without shedding of blood, no remission.
1. Too many today trying to substitute works instead of blood of Christ.
C. Cain offered in wrong spirit.
1. Rather than examine himself for sin when rejected, he became angry with God.
D. Abel offered in faith.
