I. "HE THAT BELIEVETH ON HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED."
A. Christ confirmation of Romans 8:1.
B. Christ came not to condemn but to free from condemnation.
1. "Those who believe not condemned already."
a. Adam was warned concerning forbidden fruit. "Thou shalt surely die."
b. Law warns about the sinning soul. "The soul that sinneth it shall surely die."
c. Outside of Christ, all are condemned.
1. They have all sinned.
2. There is none righteous.
d. Outside of Christ all are condemned already.
1. Without their doing a thing.
2. Because he hath not believed on the name of Christ.
C. Christ is the only relief from condemnation.
1. There is no other way.
a. Philosophies led to confusion.
II. WHAT IS THE CONDEMNATION?
A. Light has come but has been rejected.
1. The darkness of the world of sin.
2. The powers of darkness in control in this darkness of death.
3. A brilliant light has come to shine and lead the way out.
a. But consider this:
1. Some reject this light, preferring their darkness.
b. Man's reasons for rejecting.
1. Too many hypocrites.
2. Too many churches.
3. I don't have any feeling.
4. I have to give up too much.
a. Sinful practices.
b. Works of darkness.
c. Christ's reason.
1. Their deeds are evil.
a. They hate the light.
b. They tried to put out the light because it manifests their evil deeds.
