"RELEASE YOUR FAITH"
I. THIS WOMAN HAD FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST.
A. Where did this faith come from?
1. She probably heard about Jesus.
a. "Faith cometh by hearing."
b. Others heard about Him and didn't believe.
2. Faith is a gift from God.
a. As such it cannot be conjured up.
b. Father prayed "Lord I believe, help."
(Rom. 13:3) "Now God has given to every man a measure of faith."
1. We are exercising faith all day long.
2. If a person had no faith he would fear to get out of bed.
3. You flick the light switches and nothing happened.
d. (Heb. 12:2; Eph. 2:8) Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith.
e. "For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is a gift..."
f. In I Cor. 12 listed as one of the gifts.
B. She acted on her faith.
1. She sought Jesus out.
a. We do not know how long or far she searched.
2. She sought to reach Him in the crowd.
a. Pushing your way through a crowd is not easy.
3. Her faith was leading her to definite actions.
4. I believe there is passive and active faith. I know the point can be argued.
II. SHE ESTABLISHED A POINT TO RELEASE HER FAITH. "VS. 21."
A. I believe this is very important.
1. In receiving the work of God in my life.
a. Salvation.
b. Gift of Holy Spirit.
c. Healing.
2. I need that moment when I release my faith.
B. What if she had never reached Jesus?
1. She probably would never have been healed.
2. Was it necessary to touch his robe?
a. No.
b. She could have established any point.
1. The moment I see Him.
2. The moment I hear Him.
3. If I can just see His eyes.
3. The reference point is important, what the reference point is, is not.
4. This I believe is the value in the laying on of hands.
a. "I know the moment they lay hands on me I will be healed."
b. Our hands become the instruments of Christ.
C. Release your faith now.
1. Some of you have been praying for days.
a. It is time to receive.
