The Bible says many things happen to a person when they are born again. These include the following:
1.Child Of God
At the moment of our conversion we become children of God:
Before this time we were not God's children because sin had separated us from Him.
2.Has A Right Standing With God
Our relationship with God has been made right once we believe in Christ:
We will not have to be punished for our sins because Christ took our sins upon Himself at Calvary's cross.
3.Indwelt By The Holy Spirit
Upon believing, we receive the Spirit of God in our lives:
God Himself, through the Holy Spirit, takes up residence inside of us.
4.Saint
Those who trust Christ become saints:
The word saint is a translation of a Greek word meaning holy one. All believers in Jesus are saints even though they may not always act in a saintly manner. The Apostle Paul wrote to the church at Rome:
There is no justification for singling out special individuals for sainthood. All believers are saints.
5.Accepted In The Beloved One
Though people in this world may reject us, we have been accepted in the sight of God. We have been accepted by God's Son, Jesus Christ.
Christ's acceptance of us in unconditional, He loves us in spite of ourselves. While the world may place conditions on their acceptance of us, God does no such thing.
6.Member Of The True Church
We are part of God's true church, made up of all who have believed in Him.
Therefore we belong to a universal group of believers who have trusted Christ as Savior.
7.Heir Of All Things
Believers are entitled to everything that God has given Jesus:
8.Now Has Meaning To Life
Once a person becomes born again they now have a purpose for living. They know who they are, why they are alive, and what will happen to them when they die. The Apostle Paul realized this when he wrote:
9.Has God's Protection
Those who have trusted Christ as Savior have been promised the protection of God.
Although all things that happen to us are not good, the Bible says that eventually they will work together for the good.
10.Complete In Christ
The believer now stands before God complete—we lack nothing. Paul wrote:
11.Have Everything We Need
Because we are complete in Christ, we have everything we need to live the Christian life. The Bible says God has given us all we need pertaining to life and godliness.
These are some of the many good things the Scripture says happens to us when we place our faith in Christ.
1.Child Of God
At the moment of our conversion we become children of God:
For we are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:26).
Before this time we were not God's children because sin had separated us from Him.
2.Has A Right Standing With God
Our relationship with God has been made right once we believe in Christ:
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).
We will not have to be punished for our sins because Christ took our sins upon Himself at Calvary's cross.
3.Indwelt By The Holy Spirit
Upon believing, we receive the Spirit of God in our lives:
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? (1 Corinthians 6:19).
God Himself, through the Holy Spirit, takes up residence inside of us.
4.Saint
Those who trust Christ become saints:
To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Christ Jesus our Lord, both theirs and ours (1 Corinthians 1:2).
The word saint is a translation of a Greek word meaning holy one. All believers in Jesus are saints even though they may not always act in a saintly manner. The Apostle Paul wrote to the church at Rome:
That you may receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints (Romans 16:2).
There is no justification for singling out special individuals for sainthood. All believers are saints.
5.Accepted In The Beloved One
Though people in this world may reject us, we have been accepted in the sight of God. We have been accepted by God's Son, Jesus Christ.
To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved One (Ephesians 1:6).
Christ's acceptance of us in unconditional, He loves us in spite of ourselves. While the world may place conditions on their acceptance of us, God does no such thing.
6.Member Of The True Church
We are part of God's true church, made up of all who have believed in Him.
For by one spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews of Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:13).
Therefore we belong to a universal group of believers who have trusted Christ as Savior.
7.Heir Of All Things
Believers are entitled to everything that God has given Jesus:
And if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together (Romans 8:17).
8.Now Has Meaning To Life
Once a person becomes born again they now have a purpose for living. They know who they are, why they are alive, and what will happen to them when they die. The Apostle Paul realized this when he wrote:
That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day (2 Timothy 1:12).
9.Has God's Protection
Those who have trusted Christ as Savior have been promised the protection of God.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
Although all things that happen to us are not good, the Bible says that eventually they will work together for the good.
10.Complete In Christ
The believer now stands before God complete—we lack nothing. Paul wrote:
and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority (Colossians 2:10).
11.Have Everything We Need
Because we are complete in Christ, we have everything we need to live the Christian life. The Bible says God has given us all we need pertaining to life and godliness.
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness (2 Peter 1:3).
