Born: December 21, 1672, Krobsdorf, Schlesien (Silesia).
Died: January 12, 1730, Niederwiese (near Greifenberg), Schlesien (Silesia).
Son of a farmer and rural magistrate, Schwedler enrolled at the University of Leipzig in 1695 (M.A. 1697). In 1698, he was appointed assistant minister at Niederwiese. He became diaconus in 1698, following the death of his predecessor, Christoph Adolph; in 1701, he became the pastor there. He was a gifted preacher, and founded an orphanage in Niederwiese. He and Nikolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf lived near each other and were friends. Schwedler’s works include:
