Redi-Answers on Mormon Doctrine
Lord's Supper

THE CURRENT TEACHING OF THE MORMON CHURCH:

All baptized members of the church in good standing, eight years old and older, must partake, water is used instead of wine.
"The Lord’s supper is a testimony of our faithfulness and our determination to keep God’s commandments, and (2) a means whereby we receive "a continuing endowment of the Holy Spirit." Articles of Faith, Pg.175

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT COMMUNION:

1. COMMUNION IS FOR ALL CHRISTIANS:

All believers are to partake of it. 1Cr 10:16, 17
Believers are to break bread regularly Act 2:41, 42
Believers are to partake of it until Jesus comes. 1Cr 11:26

2. THOSE FOR WHOM JESUS DIED SHARE IN COMMUNION:

NOTE JESUS’S OWN WORDS: "And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, ‘This is my body which is given for you; THIS DO IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME.’" "Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, 'this is the new testament in my blood, WHICH IS SHED FOR YOU.'" Luk 22:14-19
