Redi-Answers on Mormon Doctrine
Works

THE CURRENT TEACHING OF THE MORMON CHURCH:

We must have works and obedience necessary for salvation.
"There are some who have striven to obey all the divine commandments, who have accepted the testimony of Christ, obeyed 'the laws and ordinances of the Gospel,' and received the Holy Spirit; these are they who have overcome evil by GODLY WORKS and who are therefore entitled to the highest glory;" Article of Faith Talamge Pg. 91,92

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT WORKS:

The work of God is belief in His Son Jhn 6:28, 29
But to him that worketh not, but believe on Him that justifieth the ungodly, this faith is counted for righteousness. Rom 4:5
Saved by grace, not works Eph 2:8, 9
Inheritance-Imperishable kept in Heaven 1Pe 1:4
Crucified with Christ, live by faith in Him. Gal 2:20-21
Not by works of righteousness, but his mercy Tts 3:5
Justified by the law, fallen from grace Gal 5:4
