||
| Praise the Lord! | |
| The Lord builds up Jerusalem; | |
| He heals the brokenhearted | |
| He determines the number of the stars; | |
| Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; | |
| The Lord lifts up the humble;[fn2] | |
| Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; | |
| He covers the heavens with clouds; | |
| He gives to the beasts their food, | |
| His delight is not in the strength of the horse, | |
| but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, | |
| Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem! | |
| For he strengthens the bars of your gates; | |
| He makes peace in your borders; | |
| He sends out his command to the earth; | |
| He gives snow like wool; | |
| He hurls down his crystals of ice like crumbs; | |
| He sends out his word, and melts them; | |
| He declares his word to Jacob, | |
| He has not dealt thus with any other nation; | |
| Footnotes: | |
Or for he is beautiful |
|
Or afflicted |
