Beth-zur		Beth-zur was situated in the tribe of Judah, twenty miles south from Jerusalem, towards Hebron, according to Eusebius. It was fortified by Rehoboam, (2Ch 11:7) and was a fortress of great consequence, principally in the time of the Maccabees. 1 Mac 4:28; 6:7, etc. Jos 15:58
