"Tirzah was a city of Ephraim, to which tribe Jeroboam belonged; and appears to have been pleasantly situated, as it is said in Sgs 6:4, ""Thou art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah,"" though its precise situation cannot now be ascertained.
