Or your [fn]brides H3618 when H3588 they commit H5003 adultery H5003,
For the men themselves H1992 go H6504 apart H6504 with harlots H2181

So the people H5971 without H3808 understanding H995 are [fn]ruined H3832.
The dweller H7934 of Samaria H8111 will fear H1481
For the [fn]calf H5697 of Beth-aven H1007.
Indeed H3588, its people H5971 will mourn H56 for it,
And its idolatrous H3649 priests H3649 [fn]will cry H1523 out H1523 over H5921 it,

Let the priests H3548, the ministers H8334 of Yahweh H3068,
Weep H1058 between H996 the porch H197 and the altar H4196,
And let them say H559, “Pity H2347 Your people H5971, O Yahweh H3068,

A byword H4912 among the nations H1471.

Behold H2009, your king H4428 is coming H935 to you;

You have wearied H3021 Yahweh H3068 with your words H1697. But you say H559, “How H4100 have we wearied H3021 Him?” In that you say H559, “Everyone H3605 who does H6213 evil H7451 is good H2896 in the sight H5869 of Yahweh H3068, and He delights H2654 in them,” or H176, “Where H346 is the God H430 of justice H4941?”
“Behold H2009, I am going to send H7971 My [fn]messenger H4397, and he will [fn]prepare H6437 the way H1870 before H6440 Me. And the Lord H113, whom H834 you seek H1245, will suddenly H6597 come H935 to His temple H1964; [fn]and the [fn]messenger H4397 of the covenant H1285, in whom H834 you delight H2655, behold H2009, He is coming H935,” says H559 Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635.
“So now H6258, our God H430, the great H1419, the mighty H1368, and the awesome H3372 God H410, who keeps H8104 covenant H1285 and lovingkindness H2617,
Do not let all H3605 the hardship H8513 seem H4591 insignificant H4591 before H6440 You,
Which H834 has found H4672 us, our kings H4428, our princes H8269, our priests H3548, our prophets H5030, our fathers H1, and all H3605 Your people H5971,
