Beten:
belly
Beten:
be'-ten (beTen; Batne): A city of Asher mentioned between Hall and Achshaph (Jos 19:25). Eusebius, Onomasticon places it 8 Roman miles East of Ptolemais, giving it the name Bethseten. It may be identical with the modern village el-Baneh, but no certainty is possible.
Beten:
(height) one of the cities on the border of the tribe of Asher (Joshua 19:25).
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
