Free NLT Download on Apps
We are so grateful to our partners at Tyndale House Publishing for graciously providing us the opportunity to offer the New Living Translation (NLT) as a free download for our mobile app users. They have also given us the updated 2015 NLT text to feature on both our apps and website. According to the preface, "The translators of the New Living Translation set out to render the message of the original texts of Scripture into clear, contemporary English." Tyndale goes on to explain that the NLT blends a literal, word-for-word approach with thought-for-thought modern English.
To start reading, change the translation to NLT or download the Blue Letter Bible app from your device's app store. If you would like to learn more about the NLT and how to download it for free on our apps, you can read the full announcement on our blog.

Parallel Version Comparison on the Web
For over a decade, Blue Letter Bible has offered a unique feature on our mobile apps: a parallel Bible version comparison where you can read two translations side by side. This gives users a quick, effective way to perform word and phrase studies. It also allows users to readily compare original language texts to the English translations.
We have received countless requests to bring this feature to the website over the years, and now, it's finally here. We are beyond excited to announce that we have added this functionality to our website! The parallel Bible is not only a quick and easy way to compare English translations but an invaluable resource for students and teachers seeking quick reference to the original languages.
We are so blessed by the talented team of developers that work on BLB and its various offerings. If you are interested in learning more about the tool and its development, you can watch this interview with our Chief Executive Officer, Andy Guastaferro, and the project's lead developer, David Larsen. To learn how to use the parallel view, you can read the "How to Use the Parallel Version Comparison" section of our blog post. May God bless your time in His Word!

Scofield Reference Bible Notes Now Available!
The study materials from The Scofield Reference Bible are now available on Blue Letter Bible. This extensive work, published in 1909, was born out of C.I. Scofield's conviction that printed Bibles were lacking thorough, in-line study resources. He then undertook the task of creating his own with the help of a wide group of conservative Christian scholars.
In the introduction, (which you can read here), the "distinctive features" of this work are clearly outlined. From extensive inline notes on every verse of the Bible to a detailed alphabetical index of every topic discussed within the resource, this work is comprehensive in its approach to examining Scripture. To learn more about what is offered, check out our detailed blog post.
