[Act 1:16] - “Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.”

[Act 9:31] - So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.

[Luk 1:35] - And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God.”

[Mat 28:19] - “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

[Jhn 14:17] - “Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.”

[Luk 4:14] - And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a report about him went out through all the surrounding country.

[1Th 1:5] - Because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.

[Jhn 15:26] - “But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.”

[Rom 15:13] - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

New Portraits of Christ Study Guides from Pastor Don Smith

The Holy Spirit moved the ancient authors of Scripture to write about Jesus Christ many generations before His incarnation. Pastor Don Smith has thoroughly outlined these prophetic “types” and “shadows” of the coming Messiah, from the Old Testament. Through the lens of the Holy Scriptures, you will clearly see “portraits” of the Savior, captured in God’s magnificent plan of salvation before the foundation of the world.
