  1. Attitudes – Rom 14:1-6
    1. Welcome each other
    2. Do not judge each other
  2. Personal Responsibility – Rom 14:5

    1. Observe every day in honor of God
    2. Eat or do not eat in honor of God
    3. Be thankful in doing and not doing
    4. Do not make rules
  4. We Do Not Have Proper Ability to Judge – Rom 14:7-12
    1. There is only one Lord
    2. We are not lords of one another
    3. Christ is Lord of the dead
    4. Christ is Lord of the living
    5. We live in relationship to Him
    6. We die in relationship to Him
    7. We do not live or die alone
    8. Christ will judge everyone
    9. We are only free to judge ourselves
  5. Another Word to the Strong, Free Christians – Rom 14:13-15
    1. The law of liberty – Gal 5:1; 1Co 10:23-33
    2. The limits of love
      1. Love will not hinder others
      2. Love will not cause others to stumble
      3. We must not insist that others live according to our own conscience
      4. “Do not let what you eat bring ruin on one whom Christ died”
        1. Ruin – refers to a wasted life
  6. Don’t Major on the Minor – Rom 14:16-21
    1. The important matter is not eating and drinking
    2. The important matter is righteousness, peace, joy in the Holy Spirit
    3. The spiritual is above the material
  7. What Is Right and What Is Wrong
    1. It is neither right or wrong to eat meat or drink wine
    2. It is wrong if it is a hindrance to someone else
    3. What is right – that which builds the Body of Christ
