"THE OCCASION"
I. GOD REVEALED AS FIRE.
A. God is light.
B. God is love.
C. God is a consuming fire.
1. Whether or not the fire consumes depends upon the material.
2. Fire can consume or purify or transmit into permanency.
II. THE NATURE OF FIRE.
A. It is everywhere.
1. Eremacausis (slow burning fire...)
2. We see it in all nature.
III. THE EFFECT OF SEEING THE FIRE OF GOD.
A. The sinners in Zion are afraid.
1. You may think you are strong, brave, smart.
B. Question "Who among us shall dwell."
1. Word translated dwell interesting.
a. Flee.
b. Approach.
c. Dwell.
C. Real truth "I am in the fire."
1. What is it doing to me?
