"THE COST OF DISCIPLESHIP"
I. LET HIM DENY HIMSELF.
A. More than just self denial.
1. "I am Crucified with Christ."
2. I have submitted myself to the Lordship of Him.
B. Negative gospel has been based on this scripture.
C. What?
1. Individual matter.
2. Basically that which hinders full surrender.
a. That activity which if pursued would harm.
b. That which tears down.
3. Limitations to liberty.
a. Edifies.
b. Expedient.
c. Not be brought under power.
D. How?
1. Monkeys.
2. Muskrats.
II. "TAKE UP HIS CROSS."
A. Many misconceptions concerning cross.
1. "I guess that's just my cross."
B. Full submission to the will of the Father.
1. "Let this cup pass."
C. "Old man was crucified."
III. "FOLLOW ME."
A. All have a God.
1. Everyone submitted to some goal, ideal.
2. This controls decisions and activities.
3. We are all following some scheme or plan.
B. Some try to follow Christ afar off.
1. Peter invariably leads to denial.
C. The joy of following such a leader.
1. Enrico Caruso glass tumbler.

D. Napoleon.
