I. JOHN SEES A SECOND GROUP.
A. Contrast with 144,000.
1. On earth sealed and thus protected.
2. In heaven.
3. Number was 144,000; precise number.
4. Numberless multitude.
5. From each tribe of Israel.
6. From all the tribes of the earth; nations, families, peoples, tongues.
B. Standing before the throne and before the Lamb.
C. Clothed with white robes.
a. Symbol of righteousness or purity.
b. Bride of Christ in Rev. 19:8. Arrayed in fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.
D. Palms in their hands.
a. Symbol of righteousness or purity.
b. Palms waved at triumphant entry.
E. Their cry.
a. Salvation to our God and unto the Lamb.
II. THE HEAVENLY RESPONSE.
A. Angels, elders, cherubim fell on their faces and worshipped God.
1. Angles desired to look into the gospel.
2. Now they see God's extended grace.
3. Elders fell down as cherubim worshipped.
B. They respond with double Amen.
Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, might.
III. WHO ARE THESE? WHERE DID COME FROM?
A. Not church.
1. John would have recognized them.
2. Their place in heaven different than the church.
a. Temple servants.
b. Church to reign with Christ as His bride.
c. They do reign with Christ for 1000 years.
B. Came out of the Great Tribulation.
1. Beheaded for their witness of Jesus.
2. Not worshipped beast or image.
3. Had not taken mark in forehead or hand.
C. Their place.
1. Before the throne of God.
2. Serving Him night and day in His temple.
IV. THEIR BLESSING.
A. God dwells among them.
1. They hunger no more.
a. When they refused mark, could not buy or sell.
b. Plus famine in third seal.
2. Thirst no more.
a. Waters turned to blood.
3. Sun shall not light on them.
a. Under fourth vial, sun scorches men.
B. The Lamb will feed them.
1. Lead them to living waters.
C. God shall wipe away their tears.
