Ahilud:

a brother born, or begotten

International Standard Bible Encyclopaedia

Ahilud:

a-hi'-lud ('achiludh, "child's brother," perhaps): The father of Jehoshaphat, who is mentioned as "recorder" in both the earlier and the later lists under David, and in the list under Solomon (2Sa 8:16, 1Ch 18:15; 2Sa 20:24; 1Ki 4:3). In the absence of proof we may assume that the father of Baana, one of Solomon's district superintendents, was the same Ahilud (1Ki 4:12).

Smith's Bible Dictionary

Ahilud:

(a brother of one born, i.e. before him).

(1.) Father of Jehoshaphat, the recorder or chronicler of the kingdom in the reigns of David and Solomon (2 Samuel 8:16; 20:24; 1 Kings 4:3; 1 Chronicles 18:15). (B.C. before 1015)

(2.) The father of Baana, one of Solomon's twelve commissariat officers (1 Kings 4:12). It is uncertain whether he is the same with the foregoing.
