  2. Righteousness by Faith – Rom 10:5-8; Deu 30:12-14
    1. Righteousness of the law: we work it out
    2. Righteousness by faith, God works it out – gives it to us by grace and we respond through faith that He gives us
    3. Righteousness is being right with God
      1. The legal position – settled forever
      2. The experiential condition – growing based on trust
    4. Righteousness by faith
      1. Faith is trust in Christ
      2. We know Him
      3. We love Him
      4. We trust Him
    5. Basis of our righteousness
      1. We look at self – we find sin
      2. We look at the law – we find the curse
      3. We look at Christ – we find salvation
        1. He died

  3. Conclusions
    1. We must be careful not to drift back under the law
    2. We must be careful not to rest on our works or performance
    3. We must always trust in Christ only
    4. We must always believe that His sacrifice is greater than my sin
    5. We must always seek to follow Christ by enabling of Holy Spirit
    6. Christ is now our life
