JOHN 2:11

As the first ray of the morning sun is the harbinger of the sunshine of the day, so this first miracle was the forerunner of the many wondrous deeds that Christ was about to perform.

There are many rays in the sun of Christ’s glory:―

  1. The moral glory of His life proclaims the spotlessness of His holiness (John 1:14).
  2. The majestic glory of His person speaks forth the excellence of His worth (2 Peter 1:17).
  3. The mysterious glory of His Deity tells out the wonder of His Godhead (Psalm 24:7, 10; Heb. 1:3).
  4. The munificent glory of His grace reminds us of the greatness of His mercy (Eph. 1:6).
  5. The many-sided glory of His truth declares the immutability of its infallibility (Psalm 108:4-5).
  6. The marvellous glory of His Gospel tells out the sufficiency of His atonement (2 Cor. 4:6).
  7. The mighty glory of His miracles speaks of the strength of His power (Eph. 3:16, 19).
