  1. God is its Author. “Who of God is made unto us Redemption” (1 Cor. 1:30).
  2. The blood of Christ is its purchase price. “In Whom we have redemption through His blood” (Eph. 1:7).
  3. Christ Himself is its Personification. “But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus . . . . redemption” (1 Cor. 1:30).
  4. The Lord Jesus is its depository. “The redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 3:24; Col. 1:14).
  5. Deliverance is its meaning. The word “deliverance” in Hebrews 11:35, is the same as rendered “redemption” in other Scriptures.
  6. Christ’s coming is its completion. “Waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body” (Rom. 8:23).
  7. The indwelling Spirit of God is its security. “The Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption” (Eph. 4:30; 1:14).
