箴言15:2中，所罗门对比了智慧人和愚昧人的言语： “智慧人的舌头使知识蒙悦纳；愚昧人的口吐出愚妄话。”（第2节）知识本身或许正确，但仍需智慧的表达。所罗门指出，智慧不仅影响言语的内容，也影响言语的方式。
智者能使知识易于被接受，因为他们言辞谨慎。他们懂得把握时机、语气和分寸。智慧不会随意抛掷真理，而是根据听众和情境，以恰当的方式呈现真理。这并非淡化现实，而是妥善运用。
愚人则恰恰相反。他们口吐愚妄之言，肆意散播混乱。他们非但不帮助他人获得真理，反而散播迷惑和自我炫耀。这节经文教导我们，即使是真正的知识也需要智慧的表达，而愚昧的言语则表明人的心尚未被理解所训练。
