箴言15:27警告人们要提防贪婪： “不义得利的，扰乱自己的家；恨恶贿赂的，必得存活。”（第27节）不义之财不仅会给个人带来麻烦，还会向外蔓延。
不义之财者，必将祸及家庭。他的贪婪，以焦虑、不公和不义之财的种种恶果，毒害着家庭。不义之财从来都不是真正私密的，它带来的混乱终将蔓延至家庭。
但憎恶贿赂的人才能活下去。拒绝腐败就是选择生命。贿赂扭曲正义，奖励偏袒；拒绝贿赂则使人与真理站在一起。这句谚语颂扬了道德上的拒绝，认为这是一种保全生命的行为。
