箴言15:29接下来的经文又回到了上帝与义人和恶人的关系：耶和华远离恶人，却垂听义人的祷告（第29节）。这里的距离和亲近，既指道德上的关系，也指人际关系。
耶和华远离恶人，并非祂不认识他们，而是因为他们执迷不悟悖逆，无法享受祂的恩惠和团契。罪恶使人与神疏远。远离神的生活，无法指望与祂亲密相交的安慰。
但祂垂听义人的祷告。义人之所以能亲近祂，是因为他们的生命以信靠和顺服为中心，归向祂。这是一个令人深感安慰的真理：神垂听那些真心寻求祂之人的祷告。
