箴言15:7对言语作了另一个对比：智慧人的嘴唇传扬知识，愚昧人的心却不是这样（第7节）。智慧人成为真理传播和扩散的渠道。
智者的口中传播知识，因为智慧会带来丰硕的成果。智者不会自私地囤积真理，也不会随意地传播。他们言辞清晰，帮助他人看清事物，并引导他们忠实地生活。他们的话语造福于社群。
但愚人的心并非如此。问题远不止言语那么简单。他们的内心缺乏真正能够滋养他人的东西。既然内心缺乏智慧，口中又怎能传播真知呢？这提醒我们，言语总是会揭示说话者内心深处的真实状态。
