箴言19:5重申了公义和真理： “作假见证的必不免受罚，说谎的必不得逃脱。”（第5节）所罗门如此确信，因为在上帝的世界里，谎言终究无法得逞。
作伪证者不仅仅是空谈谎言。他们会歪曲事实，伤害他人，并为了自身利益而篡改真相。因此，当谎言涉及名誉、正义和公众信任时，其后果尤为严重。
因此，所罗门说这样的人必将受到惩罚，必将逃脱惩罚。谎言或许一时看似奏效，却无法带来长久的安宁。上帝的道德秩序永远凌驾于谎言之上，欺骗终将自食其果。
