Proverbs 15:22 highlights the importance of counsel: Without consultation, plans are frustrated, but with many counselors they succeed (v. 22). Human beings are not meant to navigate important matters in isolation.
Plans are frustrated without consultation because individual perspective is limited. Blind spots, pride, and haste can derail even sincere intentions. Wisdom values input because it knows no one sees everything clearly alone.
But with many counselors they succeed. This does not mean any crowd will do, but that godly counsel strengthens discernment and improves decision-making. The verse commends teachability and shared wisdom as safeguards against avoidable failure.
