The theme of justice in measurement returns in Proverbs 16:11: A just balance and scales belong to the LORD; all the weights of the bag are His concern (v. 11). Commerce, fairness, and daily dealings all fall within God’s moral oversight.
A just balance belongs to the Lord because truth in measurement reflects truth in reality. He cares about the honesty of ordinary transactions. Market ethics are not outside spirituality. God is concerned with whether people deal fairly in the small, hidden, and routine matters of life.
This matches the broad Proverbs vision that wisdom is profoundly practical. The Lord cares not only about public worship, but also about scales, weights, contracts, and exchanges. Justice in these matters honors Him because it aligns human dealings with the truth He made.
