The Bible Says
Proverbs 16:25 Meaning

The warning of verse 12 is repeated almost verbatim in Proverbs 16:25: There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death (v. 25). Repetition shows how important the lesson is.

Human perception is not enough. A path may seem right because it aligns with appetite, convenience, pride, or short-term logic. Yet seeming right and being right are not the same thing. We need God’s wisdom because our instincts can mislead us.

Its end is death because false paths eventually reveal their true direction. The issue is not merely getting one decision wrong, but walking a road whose destination is ruin. This proverb stands as a permanent warning against trusting appearances above God’s instruction.
