Em Provérbios 14:35, Salomão conclui: O favor do rei é concedido ao servo que procede sabiamente, mas a sua ira manifesta-se contra aquele que causa vergonha (v. 35). O capítulo termina retornando ao fruto prático da conduta sábia.
Um servo que age com sabedoria conquista o favor do rei, pois a sabedoria torna a pessoa confiável, benéfica e estável. O serviço sábio abençoa aqueles que detêm autoridade e contribui para a saúde de todo o reino.
Mas o servo que age vergonhosamente atrai a ira do rei. A conduta vergonhosa quebra a confiança e desonra o papel que lhe foi confiado. O provérbio reforça um tema que permeia todo o capítulo: a sabedoria conduz ao favor e à prosperidade, enquanto a insensatez conduz à ruína.
