Com Provérbios 15:3, o horizonte se amplia da fala humana para a supervisão divina: Os olhos de Jeová estão em todo lugar, vigiando aos maus e aos bons (v. 3). Esta é uma verdade que nos faz refletir e, ao mesmo tempo, nos conforta. Nada na vida humana escapa ao olhar de Deus.
O fato de os olhos do Senhor estarem em todo lugar significa que o governo de Deus não é parcial nem distante. Ele não se limita à religião pública ou ao culto formal. Ele vê a conversa secreta, o pensamento íntimo, o ato secreto, a bondade despercebida e a injustiça oculta. Seu conhecimento é completo.
Porque Ele observa os maus e os bons, este versículo adverte os ímpios de que nada permanece oculto diante de Deus, e consola os justos, afirmando que nada feito com fidelidade passa despercebido. Provérbios ensina repetidamente que a sabedoria começa com viver como se Deus estivesse verdadeiramente presente, porque Ele está.
