Provérbios 15:30 observa como as coisas boas podem revigorar toda a pessoa: A luz dos olhos alegra ao coração, e boas novas engordam aos ossos (v. 30). Alegria e saúde são retratadas de maneiras concretas.
Olhos brilhantes transmitem vitalidade, esperança e alegria, e alegram o coração porque a alegria pode ser contagiosa. Os seres humanos foram feitos para se fortalecerem com o encorajamento e o bem-estar visível uns dos outros. A bondade muitas vezes irradia para fora de maneiras que os outros podem perceber.
Da mesma forma, boas notícias dão força aos ossos. Os ossos representam a força interior, e a gordura, neste caso, sugere saúde e plenitude. A verdade encorajadora pode restaurar uma pessoa cansada de dentro para fora. Este provérbio mostra que palavras que dão esperança não são triviais; elas podem fortalecer a própria vida.
