Provérbios 15:6 muda o foco para o lar: Na casa do justo, há grandes tesouros, Mas, nas rendas do perverso, há perturbação (v. 6). Salomão está comparando não apenas bens materiais, mas a qualidade moral daquilo que preenche uma vida.
A casa do justo contém grandes tesouros, que pode incluir provisão material, mas também paz, integridade, estabilidade e as bênçãos mais amplas que acompanham a sabedoria. Um lar justo pode nem sempre parecer luxuoso, mas contém um tesouro de natureza mais profunda, pois é ordenado segundo a verdade.
Em contraste, o problema reside na renda dos ímpios. Mesmo o que eles ganham é contaminado pela inquietação. A riqueza adquirida ou usada de forma desonesta traz consigo a desordem. Ela gera ansiedade, conflito e instabilidade. A ideia de Salomão é que prosperidade sem retidão não é verdadeira abundância.
