Em seguida, vem outra forte declaração: O caminho dos perversos é abominação a Jeová, mas ele ama ao que segue a justiça (v. 9). A preocupação de Deus em Provérbios 15:9 não se limita a ações isoladas, mas abrange toda a trajetória de uma vida.
O caminho dos ímpios é abominável porque representa uma trajetória deliberada contra o desígnio de Deus. A maldade não é um mero tropeço ocasional; é uma escolha deliberada. Andar por esse caminho é viver em ativa contradição com a ordem estabelecida por Deus.
Mas Deus ama quem busca a justiça. A linguagem da busca é importante, porque a justiça não é passiva. Os sábios a buscam, a perseguem e direcionam suas escolhas para ela. Este versículo mostra lindamente que o prazer de Deus não se baseia no perfeccionismo, mas em uma vida sinceramente voltada para o que é certo.
