Outra bênção aparece em Provérbios 16:20: Quem atende à palavra achará prosperidade, e aquele que confia em Jeová, esse é feliz (v. 20). Ouvir e confiar estão interligados.
Dar atenção à palavra é receber instruções com seriedade, permitindo que elas moldem nossas decisões. A sabedoria chega àqueles que inclinam seus ouvidos, em vez de presumirem que já sabem. Essa é uma das ênfases recorrentes nos materiais anteriores sobre Provérbios que você compartilhou.
O segundo verso vai ainda mais fundo: bem-aventurado aquele que confia no Senhor. A confiança é a essência da sabedoria porque abandona a ilusão da autossuficiência e repousa na bondade de Deus. Aquele que ouve atentamente e confia profundamente é aquele que verdadeiramente encontra o bem.
