O tema da realeza retorna em Provérbios 20:8: O rei que está sentado no trono do juízo dissipa todo mal com os seus olhos (v. 8). Salomão descreve o efeito moral de um líder cuja visão não é corrompida.
O trono do juízo descreve o assento de onde um rei justo governa, ele não interroga cada malfeitor longamente e sua presença lúcida é, por si só, um fator de dissuasão, pois o mal não pode operar sem ser detectado diante de alguém cuja visão não foi comprada.
Ele dispersa todo o mal com o olhar. O versículo estabelece um alto padrão tanto para reis quanto para líderes. A liderança, em sua melhor forma, é exercida principalmente por meio da percepção e da presença.
