In that position, he preached the thanksgiving sermon in St. Thomas’ Church, Leipzig, on Reminiscere Sunday (second Sunday in Lent), 1645, on the accession of Christina as Queen of Sweden. And also the thanksgiving sermon at the field service held by command of General Wrangel, at Weiden, in the Upper Palatine, January 1, 1649, after the conclusion of the Peace of Westphalia. In 1649, Clausnitzer was appointed first pastor at Weiden, and remained there until his death (he was also appointed later a member of the Consistory, and inspector of the district).

The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
