Sovereign of worlds! Display Thy power;
Be this Thy Zion's favored hour;
O bid the morning star arise,
O point the heathen to the skies.
Set up Thy throne where Satan reigns,
In western wilds and eastern plains;
Far let the Gospel's sound be known;
Make Thou the universe Thine own.
Speak, and the world shall hear Thy voice;
Speak, and the desert shall rejoice;
Dispel the gloom of heathen night;
