‘But the man H376 who H834 is H2930 unclean H2930 and does not purify H2398 himself from uncleanness H2398, that person H5315 shall be cut H3772 off H3772 from the midst H8432 of the assembly H6951 because H3588 he has [fn]made H2930 the sanctuary H4720 of Yahweh H3068 unclean H2930; the water H4325 for impurity H5079 has not been [fn]splashed H2236 on him; he is unclean H2931.

“If H3588 your brother H251, your mother's H517 son H1121, or H176 your son H1121 or H176 daughter H1323, or H176 the wife H802 [fn]you cherish H2436, or H176 your friend H7453 who H834 is as your own soul H5315, entices H5496 you secretly H5643, saying H559, ‘Let us go H1980 and serve H5647 other H312 gods H430' (whom H834 neither H3808 you nor H3808 your fathers H1 have known H3045,

“Three H7969 times H6471 in a year H8141 all H3605 your males H2138 shall appear H7200 before H6440 Yahweh H3068 your God H430 in the place H4725 which H834 He chooses H977, at the Feast H2282 of Unleavened H4682 Bread H4682 and at the Feast H2282 of Weeks H7620 and at the Feast H2282 of Booths H5521, and they shall not appear H7200 before H6440 Yahweh H3068 empty-handed H7387.
“If H3588 there is found H4672 in your midst H7130, in any H259 of your gates H8179 of the towns which H834 Yahweh H3068 your God H430 is giving H5414 you, a man H376 or H176 a woman H802 who H834 does H6213 what H7451 is H7451 evil H7451 in the sight H5869 of Yahweh H3068 your God H430, by trespassing H5674 against His covenant H1285,
“If H3588 any case H1697 is H6381 too H4480 difficult H6381 for you to judge H4941, between H996 [fn]one kind of homicide H1818 or another H1818, between H996 [fn]one kind of lawsuit H1779 or another H1779, and between H996 [fn]one kind of assault H5061 or another H5061, being cases H1697 of dispute H7379 in your gates H8179, then you shall arise H6965 and go H5927 up H5927 to the place H4725 which H834 Yahweh H3068 your God H430 chooses H977.
“If H3588 you go H3318 out H3318 to battle H4421 against H5921 your enemies H340 and see H7200 horses H5483 and chariots H7393 and people H5971 more H7227 numerous H7227 than H4480 you, do not be H3372 afraid H3372 of them; for Yahweh H3068 your God H430, who H834 brought H5927 you up H5927 from the land H776 of Egypt H4714, is with you.
“If H3588 you besiege H6696 a city H5892 for many H7227 days H3117, to make H3898 war H3898 against H5921 it in order to capture H8610 it, you shall not destroy H7843 its trees H6086 by swinging H5080 an axe H1631 against H5921 them; for you may eat H398 from them, and you shall not cut H3772 them down H3772. “When H3588 a man H376 takes H3947 a new H2319 wife H802, he shall not go H3318 out H3318 with the army H6635 nor H3808 be charged H5674 with any H3605 duty H1697; he shall be free H5355 at home H1004 one H259 year H8141 and shall give H8055 gladness H8055 to his wife H802 whom H834 he has taken H3947.
“When H3588 you reap H7114 your harvest H7105 in your field H7704 and have forgotten H7911 a sheaf H6016 in the field H7704, you shall not go H7725 back H7725 to get H3947 it; it shall be for the sojourner H1616, for the [fn]orphan H3490, and for the widow H490, in order H4616 that Yahweh H3068 your God H430 may bless H1288 you in all H3605 the work H4639 of your hands H3027.
“If H3588 brothers H251 live H3427 together H3162 and one H259 of them dies H4191 and has H369 no H369 son H1121, then the wife H802 of the one H4191 who H4191 died H4191 shall not be married outside H2351 the family to a strange H2114 man H376. Her husband's H2993 brother H2993 shall go H935 in H935 to her and take H3947 her to himself as wife H802 and perform H2992 the duty H2992 of H2992 a H2992 husband's H2992 brother H2992 to her.
“If H3588 two men H376, a man H376 and his brother H251, are struggling H5327 together H3162, and the wife H802 of one H259 comes H7126 near H7126 to deliver H5337 her husband H376 from the hand H3027 of the one who is striking H5221 him, and she puts H7971 out H7971 her hand H3027 and seizes H2388 his genitals H4016,

“Now it will be, if H518 you diligently H8085 listen H8085 to the voice H6963 of Yahweh H3068 your God H430, being H8104 careful H8104 to do H6213 all H3605 His commandments H4687 which H834 I am commanding H6680 you today H3117, Yahweh H3068 your God H430 will set H5414 you high H5945 above H5921 all H3605 the nations H1471 of the earth H776.
“But it will be H1961, if H518 you do not listen H8085 to the voice H6963 of Yahweh H3068 your God H430, to keep H8104 and to do H6213 all H3605 His commandments H4687 and His statutes H2708 with which H834 I am commanding H6680 you today H3117, that all H3605 these H428 curses H7045 will come H935 upon you and overtake H5381 you:
“Yahweh H3068 will send H7971 upon you the curse H3994, confusion H4103, and rebuke H4045, in all H3605 [fn]that you send H4916 forth H4916 your hand H3027 to do H6213, until H5704 you are destroyed H8045 and until H5704 you perish H6 quickly H4118, on H4480 H6440 account H4480 H6440 of H4480 H6440 the evil H7455 of your deeds H4611, because H834 you have forsaken H5800 Me.
Then Yahweh H3068 said H559 to Gideon H1439, “The people H5971 are still H5750 too many H7227; bring H3381 them down H3381 to the water H4325, and I will test H6884 them for you there H8033. “If H3588 there is famine H7458 in the land H776, if H3588 there is pestilence H1698, if H3588 there is scorching H7711 wind H7711 or mildew H3420, locust H697 or grasshopper H2625, if H3588 their enemy H340 besieges H6887 them in the land H776 of their [fn]cities H8179, whatever H3605 plague H5061, whatever H3605 sickness H4245 there is,
Now the servants H5650 of the king H4428 of Aram H758 said H559 to him, “Their gods H430 are gods H430 of the mountains H2022, therefore H5921 H3651 they were stronger H2388 than H4480 we; but rather H199 let us fight H3898 against H854 them in the plain H4334, and surely H518 H3808 we will be stronger H2388 than H4480 they.

“When H3588 Your people H5971 go H3318 out H3318 to battle H4421 against H5921 their enemies H340, by whatever H834 way H1870 You shall send H7971 them, and they pray H6419 to You toward H1870 this H2088 city H5892 which H834 You have chosen H977 and the house H1004 which H834 I have built H1129 for Your name H8034,
“Whatever H4101 is needed H2819, both young H1123 bulls H8450, rams H1798, and lambs H563 for a burnt H5928 offering H5928 to the God H426 of heaven H8065, and wheat H2591, salt H4416, wine H2562, and anointing H4887 oil H4887, according to what the priests H3549 in Jerusalem H3390 say H3983, it is to be given H3052 to them daily H3118 without H3809 negligence H7960,

Here H2009 is what H834 I have seen H7200 to be good H2896, which is [fn]beautiful H3303: to eat H398, to drink H8354, and to see H7200 good H2896 in all H3605 one's labor H5999 in which H7945 he labors H5998 under H8478 the sun H8121 during the few H4557 days H3117 of his life H2416 which H834 God H430 has given H5414 him; for this H1931 is his portion H2506.
Because H3588 you have said H559, “We have cut H3772 a covenant H1285 with death H4194,

The overflowing H7857 [fn]scourge H7752 will not reach H935 us when H3588 it passes H5674 by H5674,
For we have made H7760 falsehood H3577 our refuge H4268 and we have hidden H5641 ourselves with lying H8267.”
For thus H3541 says H559 Yahweh H3068 to me,
“As the lion H738 or the young H3715 lion H3715 growls H1897 over H5921 its prey H2964,
Against H5921 which H834 a multitude H4393 of shepherds H7462 is called H7121 out H7121,
And it will not be dismayed H2865 at their voice H6963 nor H3808 afflicted H6031 at their noise H1995,

But [fn]Yahweh H3068 was pleased H2654
To crush H1792 Him, [fn]putting H2470 Him to grief H2470;
If H518 You would place H7760 His soul H5315 as a guilt H817 offering H817,
He will see H7200 His seed H2233,
He will prolong H748 His days H3117,
And the [fn]good H2656 pleasure H2656 of Yahweh H3068 will succeed H6743 in His hand H3027.
“Behind H310 the door H1817 and the doorpost H4201
You have set H7760 up H7760 your memorial H2146;
Indeed H3588, far removed H4480 from Me, you have uncovered H1540 yourself,
And have gone H5927 up H5927 and made H7337 your bed H4904 wide H7337,
And you have cut H3772 a covenant for yourself with them;
“If H518 because H4480 of the sabbath H7676, you turn H7725 your foot H7272

And honor H3513 it, by not doing H6213 your own ways H1870,
God [fn]says H559, “If H2005 a husband H376 divorces H7971 his wife H802
And she goes H1980 from him
And belongs H1961 to another H312 man H376,
Will he still H5750 return H7725 to her?
Will not that land H776 be completely H2610 [fn]polluted H2610?
But you are a harlot H2181 with many H7227 [fn]lovers H7453;
And you, O devastated H7703 one, what H4100 will you do H6213?
Although H3588 you dress H3847 in scarlet H8144,
Although H3588 you decorate H5710 yourself with ornaments H5716 of gold H2091,
Although H3588 you enlarge H7167 your eyes H5869 with paint H6320,
In vain H7723 you make H3302 yourself beautiful H3302.
“Roam H7751 to and fro H7751 through the streets H2351 of Jerusalem H3389,
And see H7200 now H4994 and know H3045,
And seek H1245 in her open H7339 squares H7339,
If H518 you can find H4672 a man H376,
If H518 there H3426 is H3426 one who does H6213 justice H4941, who seeks H1245 faithfulness H530,
Then I will pardon H5545 her.
“Therefore you are to say H559 this H2088 word H1697 to them, ‘Thus H3541 says H559 Yahweh H3068, the God H430 of Israel H3478, “Every H3605 jug H5035 is to be filled H4390 with wine H3196.”' And they will say H559 to you, ‘Do we not very H3045 well H3045 know H3045 that every H3605 jug H5035 is to be filled H4390 with wine H3196?'
‘If H518 I go H3318 out H3318 to the field H7704,
Behold H2009, those [fn]slain H2491 with the sword H2719!
Or if H518 I enter H935 the city H5892,
Behold H2009, diseases H8463 of famine H7458!
For both H1571 prophet H5030 and priest H3548
Have gone around H5503 as merchants H5503 in the land H776 that they do not know H3045.'”
“Those destined for death H4194, to death H4194;
And those destined for the sword H2719, to the sword H2719;
And those destined for famine H7458, to famine H7458;
And those destined for captivity H7628, to captivity H7628.”'
Therefore H3651 thus H3541 says H559 Yahweh H3068,
“If H518 you return H7725, then I will cause you to return H7725—
Before H6440 Me you will stand H5975;
And if H518 you extract H3318 the precious H3368 from the worthless H2151,
You will become H1961 [fn]My mouthpiece H6310.
They for their part H1992 may turn H7725 to you,
But as for you, you must not turn H7725 to them.

Thus H3541 says H559 Yahweh H3068,
“If H518 the heavens H8064 above H4480 H4605 can be measured H4058
And the foundations H4144 of the earth H776 searched H2713 out H2713 below H4295,
Then I will also H1571 reject H3988 all H3605 the seed H2233 of Israel H3478
For all H3605 that they have done H6213,” declares H5002 Yahweh H3068.

“This edict H6600 is by the resolution H1510 of the watchers H5894,
And the decision H7595 is a command H3983 of the holy H6922 ones H6922,
In order H5705 H1701 that the living H2417 may know H3046
That the Most H5943 High H5943 is the powerful H7990 ruler H7990 over the kingdom H4437 of mankind H606

“And though H518 they hide H2244 on the [fn]top H7218 of Carmel H3760,
