Now when Rehoboam ^H7346 had come ^H935 to Jerusalem ^H3389, he assembled ^H6950 all ^H3605 the house ^H1004 of Judah ^H3063 and the tribe ^H7626 of Benjamin ^H1144, 180,000 ^{H3967 H8084 H505} chosen ^H977 warriors ^H6213 H4421, to fight ^H3898 against ^H5973 the house ^H1004 of Israel ^H3478 to restore ^H7725 the kingdom ^H4410 to Rehoboam ^H7346 the son ^H1121 of Solomon ^H8010.

Oh ^H4310 H5414, that the salvation ^H3444 of Israel ^H3478 would come out of Zion ^H6726!

When the LORD ^H3068 restores ^H7725 the fortunes ^H7622 of His people ^H5971,

Jacob ^H3290 will rejoice ^H1523, Israel ^H3478 will be ^H8055 glad ^H8055.

A Song of Ascents.

Your prophets ^H5030 have seen ^H2372 for you

Worthless ^H7723 and deceptive ^H8602 visions;

And they have not exposed ^H1540 your wrongdoing ^H5771

So as to restore ^H7725 you from captivity ^H7622,

But they have seen ^H2372 for you worthless ^H7723 and misleading ^H4065 pronouncements ^H4065.

Their deeds ^H4611 will not allow ^H5414 them

To return ^H7725 to their God ^H430.

For a spirit ^H7307 of [fn]infidelity ^H2183 is within ^H7130 them,

And they do not know ^H3045 the LORD ^H3068.

[fn]They will not return ^H7725 to the land ^H776 of Egypt ^H4714;

But Assyria ^H804—he will be [fn]their king ^H4428

Because ^H3588 they refused ^H3985 to return ^H7725 to Me.
