And Isaac brought her into the tent of his mother Sarah and took Rebekah to be his wife. Isaac loved her, and he was comforted after his mother's death.

Isaac loved Esau because he had a taste for wild game, but Rebekah loved Jacob.

Jacob loved Rachel, so he answered Laban, “I'll work for you seven years for your younger daughter Rachel.”

Jacob slept with Rachel also, and indeed, he loved Rachel more than Leah. And he worked for Laban another seven years.

Judah has acted treacherously, and a detestable act has been done in Israel and in Jerusalem. For Judah has profaned the LORD's sanctuary,[fn] which he loves, and has married the daughter of a foreign god.[fn]
