‘The priest H3548 who is [fn]highest H1419 among H4480 his brothers H251, on whose H834 head H7218 the anointing H4888 oil H8081 has been poured H3332 and [fn]who has been consecrated H4390 H3027 to wear H3847 the garments H899, shall not [fn]uncover H6544 his head H7218 nor H3808 tear H6533 his clothes H899;
Now those who were to camp H2583 in front H6440 of the tabernacle H4908 eastward H6924, in front H6440 of the tent H168 of meeting H4150 toward the sunrise H4217, were Moses H4872 and Aaron H175 and his sons H1121, performing H8104 the duties H4931 of the sanctuary H4720 for the obligation H4931 of the sons H1121 of Israel H3478; but the [fn]layman H2114 coming H7131 near H7131 was to be put H4191 to H4191 death H4191.

And the Spirit H7307 rested H5117 upon them (and they were among those who had been registered H3789, but had not gone H3318 out H3318 to the tent H168), and they prophesied H5012 in the camp H4264.
So the LORD H3068 said H559 to Aaron H175, “You, your sons H1121, and your father's H1 household H1004 with you shall bear H5375 the guilt H5771 [fn]in connection with the sanctuary H4720, and you and your sons H1121 with you shall bear H5375 the guilt H5771 [fn]in connection with your priesthood H3550.
Then the LORD H3068 spoke H1696 to Aaron H175, “Now behold H2009, I Myself H589 have put H5414 you in charge H4931 of My [fn]offerings H8641, all H3605 the holy H6944 gifts of the sons H1121 of Israel H3478 I have given H5414 to you as a portion H4888 and to your sons H1121 as a permanent H5769 allotment H2706.

Then Aaron H175 the priest H3548 went H5927 up H5927 to Mount H2022 Hor H2023 at the [fn]command H6310 of the LORD H3068, and died H4191 there H8033 in the fortieth H705 year H8141 after the sons H1121 of Israel H3478 had come H3318 from the land H776 of Egypt H4714, on the first H259 day in the fifth H2549 month H2320.

“If H3588 there is a poor H34 person H34 among you, one H259 of your brothers H251, in any H259 of your [fn]towns H8179 in your land H776 which H834 the LORD H3068 your God H430 is giving H5414 you, you shall not harden H553 your heart H3824, nor H3808 close H7092 your hand H3027 from your poor H34 brother H251;
“Three H7969 times H6471 a year H8141 all H3605 your males H2138 shall appear H7200 before H6440 the LORD H3068 your God H430 at the place H4725 which H834 He chooses H977: at the Feast H2282 of Unleavened H4682 Bread H4682, at the Feast H2282 of Weeks H7620, and at the Feast H2282 of Booths H5521; and they are not to appear H7200 before H6440 the LORD H3068 empty-handed H7387.
“If H3588 you happen H7122 to H7122 come H7122 upon a bird's H6833 nest H7064 along the way H1870, in any H3605 tree H6086 or H176 on the ground H776, with young H667 ones H667 or H176 eggs H1000 in it, and the mother H517 sitting H7257 on the young H667 or H176 on the eggs H1000, you shall not take H3947 the mother H517 with the young H1121;
“If H3588 someone H376 is [fn]caught H4672 kidnapping H1589 any H5315 of his countrymen H251 of the sons H1121 of Israel H3478, and he treats H6014 him as H6014 merchandise H6014 and sells H4376 him, then that thief H1590 shall die H4191; so you shall eliminate H1197 the evil H7451 from among H7130 you.
“If H3588 two men H376, a man H376 and his countryman H251, have H5327 a H5327 fight H5327 [fn]with H3162 each H3162 other H3162, and the wife H802 of one H259 comes H7126 up H7126 to save H5337 her husband H376 from the hand H3027 of the one who is hitting H5221 him, and she reaches H7971 out H7971 with her hand H3027 and grasps H2388 [fn]that man's genitals H4016,
“The LORD H3068 will cause H5414 you to be defeated H5062 by H6440 your enemies H340; you will go H3318 out H3318 one H259 way H1870 against H413 them, but you will flee H5127 seven H7651 ways H1870 from their presence H6440, and you will be an example of terror H2113 to all H3605 the kingdoms H4467 of the earth H776.
So the sons H1121 of Israel H3478 did H6213 exactly H3651 as Joshua H3091 commanded H6680, and took H5375 up H5375 twelve H8147 H6240 stones H68 from the middle H8432 of the Jordan H3383, just H834 as H834 the LORD H3068 spoke H1696 to Joshua H3091, according to the number H4557 of the tribes H7626 of the sons H1121 of Israel H3478; and they carried H5674 them over H5674 with them to the encampment H4411 and put H5117 them down H5117 there H8033.

Then the men H376 of Gibeon H1391 sent H7971 word to Joshua H3091 at the camp H4264 at Gilgal H1537, saying H559, “Do not [fn]abandon H7503 H3027 H4480 your servants H5650; come H5927 up H5927 to us quickly H4120 and save H3467 us and help H5826 us, for all H3605 the kings H4428 of the Amorites H567 that live H3427 in the hill H2022 country H2022 have assembled H6908 against H413 us.”

“Now behold H2009, today H3117 I am going H1980 the way H1870 of all H3605 the earth H776, and you know H3045 in all H3605 your hearts H3824 and in all H3605 your souls H5315 that not one H259 word H1697 of all H3605 the good H2896 words H1697 which H834 the LORD H3068 your God H430 spoke H1696 concerning H5921 you has failed H5307; they all H3605 have [fn]been fulfilled H935 for you, not [fn]one H259 of them has failed H5307.
