Jesus Greater than Moses

2 who was faithful G4103 to Him who appointed G4160 Him, as Moses G3475 also G2532 was in all G3650 His house G3624. 3 For He has been counted G515 worthy G515 of more G4183 glory G1391 than G3844 Moses G3475, in G2596 so G3745 much G3745 as the builder G2680 of the house G3624 has G2192 more G4183 honor G5092 than the house G3624. 4 For every G3956 house G3624 is built G2680 by someone G5100, but the builder G2680 of all G3956 things G3956 is God G2316. 5 Now G2532 MOSES G3475 WAS FAITHFUL G4103 IN ALL G3650 HIS HOUSE G3624 AS A SERVANT G2324, for a testimony G3142 of those G3588 things which were to be spoken G2980 later, 6 but Christ G5547 was faithful as a Son G5207 over G1909 His house G3624—whose G3739 house G3624 we are, if G1437 we hold G2722 fast G2722 our confidence G3954 and the boast G2745 of our hope G1680.

“TODAY G4594 IF G1437 YOU HEAR G191 HIS VOICE G5456,
8 DO NOT HARDEN G4645 YOUR HEARTS G2588 AS [fn]WHEN G1722 THEY PROVOKED G3894 ME,
AS IN THE DAY G2250 OF TRIAL G3986 IN THE WILDERNESS G2048,
9 WHERE G3757 YOUR FATHERS G3962 TRIED G3985 Me BY TESTING G6020 Me,
AND SAW G3708 MY WORKS G2041 FOR FORTY G5062 YEARS G2094.
10 “THEREFORE G1352 I WAS ANGRY G4360 WITH THIS G3778 GENERATION G1074,
AND SAID G3004, ‘THEY ALWAYS G104 GO G4105 ASTRAY G4105 IN THEIR HEART G2588,
AND THEY DID NOT KNOW G1097 MY WAYS G3598’;
11 AS I SWORE G3660 IN MY WRATH G3709,
‘THEY SHALL NOT ENTER G1525 MY REST G2663.’”
Warning Against Unbelief
12 See G991 to it brothers G80, that there not be in any G5100 one G5100 of you an evil G4190, unbelieving G570 heart G2588 [fn]that falls G868 away G868 from the living G2198 God G2316.
13 But encourage G3870 one G1438 another G1438 day G2250 after G2596 day G2250, as long G891 as it is still called G2564 “TODAY G4594,” so G2443 G3361 that none G5100 G1438 of you will be hardened G4645 by the deceitfulness G539 of sin G266. 14 For we have become G1096 partakers G3353 of Christ G5547, if G1437 G4007 we hold G2722 fast G2722 the beginning G746 of our assurance G5287 firm G949 until G3360 the end G5056, 15 while G1722 it is said G3004,
“TODAY G4594 IF G1437 YOU HEAR G191 HIS VOICE G5456,
DO NOT HARDEN G4645 YOUR HEARTS G2588, AS [fn]WHEN G1722 THEY PROVOKED G3894 ME.”
16 For who G5101 provoked G3893 Him when they had heard G191? Indeed G235, did not all G3956 those G3588 who G5101 came G1831 out G1831 of Egypt G125 led by Moses G3475? 17 And with whom G5101 was He angry G4360 for forty G5062 years G2094? Was it not with those G3588 who G5101 sinned G264, whose G3739 corpses G2966 fell G4098 in the wilderness G2048? 18 And to whom G5101 did He swear G3660 that they would not enter G1525 His rest G2663, but to those G3588 who G5101 were disobedient G544? 19 So we see G991 that they were not able G1410 to enter G1525 because G1223 of unbelief G570.
