Yahweh Will Empty the Earth

1 Behold ^H2009, Yahweh ^H3068 empties ^H1238 the earth ^H776 to destruction ^H1238, eviscerates ^H1110 it, distorts ^H5753 its surface ^H6440, and scatters ^H6327 its inhabitants ^H3427.

2 And the people ^H5971 will be like the priest ^H3548, the male ^H5650 slave ^H5650 like his master ^H113, the female ^H8198 slave ^H8198 like her mistress ^H1404, the buyer ^H7069 like the seller ^H4376, the lender ^H3867 like the borrower ^H3867, the creditor ^H5383 like the debtor ^H5377. 3 The earth ^H776 will be completely ^H1238 emptied ^H1238 to destruction ^H1238 and completely ^H962 plundered ^H962, for Yahweh ^H3068 has spoken ^H1696 this ^H2088 word ^H1697. 4 The earth ^H776 mourns ^H56 and withers ^H5034; the world ^H8398 languishes ^H535 and withers ^H5034; the exalted ^H4791 of the people ^H5971 of the earth ^H776 languish ^H535. 5 The earth ^H776 is also polluted ^H2610 [fn]by its inhabitants ^H3427, for they trespassed ^H5674 laws ^H8451, violated ^H2498 statutes ^H2706, broke ^H6565 the everlasting ^H5769 covenant ^H1285. 6 Therefore ^H5921 H3651, a curse ^H423 devours ^H398 the earth ^H776, and those who inhabit ^H3427 it are held ^H816 guilty ^H816. The rumbling ^H7588 of those exulting ^H5947 stops ^H2308;

In the [fn]coastlands ^H339 of the sea ^H3220.

16 From the ends ^H3671 of the earth ^H776 we hear ^H8085 songs ^H2158, “Glory ^H6643 to the Righteous ^H6662 One ^H6662,”

But I say ^H559, “[fn]I waste ^H7334 away! [fn]I waste ^H7334 away! Woe ^H188 is me!

The treacherous ^H898 deal ^H898 treacherously ^H898,

17 Panic ^H6343 and pit ^H6354 and pitfall ^H6341

Are upon ^H5921 you, O inhabitant ^H3427 of the earth ^H776.

18 Then it will be that he who flees ^H5127 the sound ^H6963 of panic ^H6343 will fall ^H5307 into the pit ^H6354,

And he who [fn]climbs ^H5927 out of the pit ^H6354 will be caught ^H3920 in the pitfall ^H6341;

For the windows ^H699 [fn]above ^H4480 H4791 are opened ^H6605, and the foundations ^H4144 of the earth ^H776 quake ^H7493.

19 The earth ^H776 is broken ^H7489 asunder ^H7489;

The earth ^H776 is split ^H6565 through ^H6565;

The earth ^H776 is shaken ^H4131 violently ^H4131.

20 The earth ^H776 reels ^H5128 to and fro ^H5128 like a drunkard ^H7910

And it totters ^H5110 like a [fn]shack ^H4412,

For its transgression ^H6588 is ^H3513 heavy ^H3513 upon it,

And the kings ^H4428 of the earth ^H127 on earth ^H127.

22 They will be gathered ^H622 together ^H626

Like prisoners ^H616 in the [fn]pit ^H953,

And will be confined ^H5462 in ^H5462 prison ^H4525;

And after ^H4480 many ^H7230 days ^H3117 they will be punished ^H6485.

23 Then the moon ^H3842 will be humiliated ^H2659 and the sun ^H2535 ashamed ^H954,

For Yahweh ^H3068 of hosts ^H6635 will reign ^H4427 on Mount ^H2022 Zion ^H6726 and in Jerusalem ^H3389,

And His glory ^H3519 will be before ^H5048 His elders ^H2205.
