Job Answers

1 Then Job ^H347 answered ^H6030 and said ^H559,

2 “Truly ^H551 then ^H3588 you are the people ^H5971,

And with you wisdom ^H2451 will die ^H4191!

3 “But I have a heart ^H3824 of wisdom as well ^H1571 as you;

I do not fall ^H5307 short of you.

And [fn]who ^H4310 does not know ^H854 such ^H3644 things as these ^H428?

4 “I am ^H1961 a laughingstock ^H7814 to [fn]my friends ^H7453,

The one who called ^H7121 on God ^H433 and He answered ^H6030 him;

The righteous ^H6662 and blameless ^H8549 man is a laughingstock ^H7814.

5 “[fn]As for upheaval ^H6365, there is only contempt ^H937 by the one who acts ^H6248 at ^H7600 ease ^H7600,

But it is prepared ^H3559 for those whose feet ^H7272 slip ^H4571.

6 “The tents ^H168 of the destroyers ^H7703 are complacent ^H7951,

And those who provoke ^H7264 God ^H410 are secure ^H987,

Job Speaks of God’s Strength

13 “With Him are wisdom ^H2451 and might ^H1369;

To Him belong counsel ^H6098 and discernment ^H8394.
