My Redeemer Lives

1 Then Job ^H347 answered ^H6030 and said ^H559,

2 “How ^H575 long ^H5704 will you torment ^H3013 my soul ^H5315

And crush ^H1792 me with words ^H4405?

3 “These ^H2088 ten ^H6235 times ^H6471 you have dishonored ^H3637 me;

You are ^H954 not ashamed ^H954 that you wrong ^H1970 me.

4 “[fn]Even ^H637 if I have truly ^H551 erred ^H7686,

My error ^H4879 lodges ^H3885 with me.

5 “If ^H518 truly ^H551 you magnify ^H1431 yourselves against ^H5921 me

And argue ^H3198 my disgrace ^H2781 to me,

6 Know ^H3045 then ^H645 that God ^H433 has wronged ^H5791 me

And has closed ^H5362 His net ^H4685 around ^H5362 me.

7 “Behold ^H2005, I cry ^H6817, ‘Violence ^H2555!’ but I get ^H6030 no ^H3808 answer ^H6030;

I shout ^H7768 for ^H7768 help ^H7768, but there ^H369 is ^H369 no ^H369 justice ^H4941.

8 “He has walled ^H1443 up ^H1443 my way ^H734 so that I cannot ^H3808 pass ^H5674,

And He has put ^H7760 darkness ^H2822 on my paths ^H5410.

9 “He has stripped ^H6584 my honor ^H3519 from me

25 “As for me, I know ^H3045 that my [fn]Redeemer ^H1350 lives ^H2416,

And [fn]at the last ^H314 He will rise ^H6965 up ^H6965 over the dust ^H6083 of this world.

26 “Even after ^H310 my skin ^H5785 [fn]is destroyed ^H5362,

Yet from my flesh ^H1320 I shall behold ^H2372 God ^H433,

And whom my eyes ^H5869 will see ^H7200 and not another ^H2114.

28 “If ^H3588 you say ^H559, ‘How ^H4100 shall we persecute ^H7291 him?’

‘And the root ^H8328 of the matter ^H1697 is found in [fn]him ^H4672?’

29 “Then be afraid ^H1481 of the sword ^H2719 for yourselves,

For wrath ^H2534 brings the punishment ^H5771 of the sword ^H2719,

So ^H4616 that you may know ^H3045 there is judgment ^H1779.”
